Golden locks fell over Emma-Louise Santez’s small petite shoulders. Crystal blue eyes scanned the dining room around her. It was 7:15P PM, and tea was late. Once more, her family was dining with the Smiths. They, like her family, were a well mannered bunch, from the Shropshire County. The year was 1886. Lives had been lost, battles fought, but their two families had stayed top of the society list. The Smith family had a son. Well, a son and 3 daughters. His name, Edward. Quite appropriate for these times in civilisation. Edward was 17. The same age as Emma-Louise was. She’d turn 18 3 months after he would, and therefore, they were both free. Free from the torture of being the top of the top.

Their parents just wanted the best for them. They both attended a Private High School, on the border of the County. They were both extraordinarily well mannered. For their age that is. The money from both of their families would possibly never run out. Therefore, both families would always have to get along, in order for the money to stay situated where it was. The Santez family had invested all there Riches in Emma-Louise, as she was an only child.

Tea finally arrived at 7:25PM. Emma stood up and pushed her dress underneath her before regaining her seated position. Across the table, Edward sat, already digging into his soup. She rolled her eyes and began to eat courteously. Her family wouldn’t dare let her muck this dinner up. Of course, as all families do, they were trying to get the 17 year olds to start dating. As if that would ever happen. They despised each other. If you knew him, you would to.

Edward was too stuck up for his own good. Too polite. If there is such a thing. He was always going out of his own way for others. And after which, he would turn behind his parents back and curse them. In this day and age, that was to be certainly enough for his parents to see that he needed help. From a doctor if you ask me. But no, they carried on Spoiling him, and he carried on basking in the limelight. Edward was a talented poet, and Emma-Louise, was a talented pianist. She played other instruments too, but that was the one she continued vigorously.

Every day, Emma Louise would wake up, splash her face with icy water and then go for a walk. Edward and Emma’s families homes were quite a way apart. Good news for them, bad news for their parents. And now, for 6 months, Emma’s parents had decided to let Edward stay, while his family went off around the world making investments.

A sigh escaped her pointed lips as she finished her soup and set her spoon down quietly on the side of the plate. Her father spoke, ”Emma, would you care to she Mr. Smith up to his room?” After much deliberating, Emma nodded and stood.

[OOC:Just need Edward!] lol!
